The Florida Challenge Aqua Velo is a swim-bike event that takes place in conjunction with the Great Floridian Triathlon. Participants will swim 1.2 miles followed by a 56 mile bike race. The Aqua Velo is a great training event for one of the November Ironman Triathlons. The run segment typically is the one event in a triathlon that has a tendency to wear you down. By just swimming and biking your recovery period is much quicker. The aqua Velo is also a great race for athletes who may have a running injury or are not quite ready to run a half marathon.

A longer Aqua Velo Race is also available with a 2.4 mile swim and 112 mile bike.
